I met Yichen and Scott a year ago during their engagement. The two are finishing law school and wanted to have a sweet intimate wedding right in the heart of Winter Park with their closest family and friends at the beautiful historic Casa Feliz. I loved Yichen’s beautiful traditional Chinese dress she wore for her “First Look”. What a sweet couple, I congratulate the both of you again and please enjoy some of my personal favorites from their special day!
Last weekend I had the best time coordinating/designing a beautiful fashion show called Spring Soiree 15! The lovely ladies of Something New Bridal Boutique located in Winter Park showcased their lovely line of gowns including the beauty team Jess & Janel, who dolled up all of our stunning models! The event was held outside the Lakeshore Event’s Center located at the historic home of Withers-Maquire House. Inside, you found local wedding vendors + caterers sharing their beautiful work and delicious tastings, especially one of my personal favorites, Arthur’s Catering with an Avocado bar, YUM! The outside area filled with stunning floral arrangements by Cheryl’s Distinctive Creations, painted the tent area with glowing chandeliers provided by Kirby Rentals. I loved Emc’ing the fashion show and introducing such gorgeous dresses, our beautiful models who prepared all morning for this did a fantastic job! Here’s a recap of photos from the talented Ashlee Hamon of Ashlee Hamon Photography, what a wonderful job! Enjoy!
If you love thrift shopping as much as I do, you probably already own one or two of these vintage suitcases and if not, you’ve definitely seen them! These two have been hanging around for a bit collecting dust, so I decided to give them a makeover! I love how they turned out! Such an easy weekend project to spruce up any corner, living room, bedroom or office.
Make sure to wipe down your suitcases so they are clean and free of any dust, dirt, etc. Go ahead and apply two coats of the Valspar paint on the suitcases, they dry pretty fast. Once all dry, you can add whatever personal designs to it! I created some lines using tape and painted over, removed and voila! You can get real creative with it, use a stencil, paint your initials and more. So easy and cute!
What you will need:
Vintage Suitcase Valspar paint in Satin, I used these colors: Cape Sands, Ultra White, Stone Mason Gray – which can be found at Lowe’s
This was a special wedding for me, Kristen is a dear friend of mine who has countless of times been my model for styled shoots! I was thrilled to find out about her engagement last year and was secretly crossing my fingers that she would ask me to capture her wedding, and out of my luck…she did ask! This is my second Newfoundland couple, and I have to say…they are some of the nicest, most friendliest people! I had a great time with Brenda and Peter, most of the guests were from out of country and state, this destination wedding was filled with sunshine, palm trees and tons of laughter. I love the new covered indoor tent at Reunion Resort, such a beautiful option overlooking the golf course and surrounding landscape that this venue offers. Cheers to the both of you, here are some of my personal favorites! Congratulations you two!

Spring weddings are in full effect ladies! This year we have seen a ton of styles already emerging for the trendy bride. I love the two piece and cropped dresses along with the array of elegant options that still have a touch of glam, because let’s be honest, what gal doesn’t want to feel like a princess on her big day? I took a visit to the always beautiful bridal boutique Solutions Bridal Design House here in Orlando to stroll through my top 4 favorites for the season! Solutions Bridal offers styles of all kinds, couture fashion designers with the most helpful stylists in house. I want to thank the always beautiful stylist Roberta for helping me choose and styling me! Engaged? Please make a stop to this boutique, I had an amazing time playing dress up in these stunning gowns, and you will too! Which would you wear below?
Roberta: The removable skirt can be used as a transitional piece providing two different looks for your wedding day. For instance, having a ceremony look and a reception look. This way, you can get the full skirt to keep the ceremony more traditional and then have your slim fitted dress to have fun in, making the dress lighter for dancing and moving around.
Andi: Do they fit on all types of dresses?
Roberta: I would recommend doing the removable skirt to a slimmer dress, and keeping it away from trumpet dresses. The skirt is also a great way to add a bit more fullness to a slight A-line dress.
Andi: Why should a bride get one?
Roberta: You should get a removable skirt to have two different looks on your wedding day, also to shock your guests with an element of surprise! Another reason to get a removable skirt, say you are really in love with a top of a slimmer gown, but you want the full skirt and you can’t seem to put it together! I also like the fact that having the removable skirt you create an unique look, a “one-of-a-kind” dress that no one else will have.
Andi: What’s the number one trend in dresses this Spring you are seeing?
Roberta: Lighter weight fabrics, slimmer dresses and a more feminine dress with an open back.
Kirsten’s day started off at her parent’s home, prepping the hair, getting these pretty ladies ready for the big day! What a FUN wedding! The amazing live band all who traveled from Atlanta during the reception was completely talented, I was blown away by the music! The guests danced the night away with cheer and laughter! I’m so happy for Kirsten and Christian, a big congrats to the both of you! Please enjoy some of my personal favorites below! Thank you to all the amazing vendors involved who made this day special!
